  • Margaret Thatcher resigned as Prime Minister

  •   Home Alone release dates.
  • Home alone is a 1990 American Christmas comedy Film . This the first film in the franchise. Release date 10th November 1990 In Chicago. 16th November in the United States.

  • Economic

  • Home Alone was initially going to be financed and distributed by Warner Bros. Early in the budget it grew to a massive 14.2 Million Pounds. The Warner Bros demand that they cut the budget by 1.2Million. Eventually the budget was decided on how much the film needed to produce it and make it happen. The budget was 18Million.

  •  Technology

  • Filming took place over a course of 83 days from 14th February to 8th of May on an 18. 3 Million budget. They used stunt guys to shoot some of the scene's that needed them. They use different locations to produce the scenes like the staircase, basement and the attic also the first floor of the landing. They use a tree house as well ; this is because the technology back then isn't as developed as it is now.

  • In one of the scene's Kevin uses a Fan and fluffy cotton wool so that the burglars couldn't see where he was going as he was trying to catch Kevin. Kevin sets up Multiple traps around the house to stop them.

  • Social and behavioural

  • The plot is about the family are getting prepared for a holiday to Paris but before that they order Pizza and then Kevin and Buzz have a fight, and the Mum sends Kevin up to the attic by himself. Kevin defends the house from two burglars Harry and Marv as a Ten-year-old.

  • Kevin gets up in the morning thinking he's going away but in a turn of events he gets left behind and is home alone as a 10-Year-old child. That would be scary to be left alone as a 10-Year-Old.

  • Kevin would have felt alone also a sense of him being lonely. It could have impacted him on interreacting with his family members when they got back because he was just left by himself.

  • Environmental

Also, there was a few more sets in a gym of new tier higher school. In the west campus. They also used a swimming pool in the same area to create one of the scene's that was used for the flooding in the neighbour's house.

  • The Film was in America north shore village in Winnetka. The location of the set was a three-story single-family house. Located at 671 Lincoln Avenue. Later after the film finished being produce Lincoln Avenue became a tourist attraction across the world for people to see.

  • What would happen today if Home Alone was filmed today, and would it work?.

  •

  • n today's world I personally don't think Home Alone would work, this is because if Kevin was left alone there would be most likely a ring doorbell when you get a home so your parents could see what happens.

  • In today's world if your child was missing at the airport somewhere like that the airhostess would make sure that everyone's on the plane that is meant to be and if someone isn't that they wouldn't leave without them if they were missing. They check if everyone is in the right seat etc.

  • What would happen today if Home Alone was filmed today, and would it work?.

  • Nowadays most of the time your parents wouldn't leave you yourself when going on holiday because 1 they would miss out on everything and that wouldn't be fair on the child if the parents just left them at home. 2 It isn't safe to leave a young child at "); border-bottom: 1px solid transparent; background-size: 5px; vertical-align: 3.03143px; line-height: 0px; position: relative; text-decoration: none;">home , they would have to stay with a relative or something.

  • The Film wouldn't be the same because in Today's world the technology is so advance if they was missing, they could call the mum or dad and ask where they are. Cause when it was back then most children didn't have a phone to ring or text people. They could also message their next-door neighbours to check on their child if they are okay, if for whatever reason there was left.

  • Cultural Aspects for Mortal Kombat The Boys
  • The whole tim
  • The most vocal and eye-catching of these takedowns pronounce that the show has gone "woke" or is so obviously "anti-Donald Trump." Since the show's inception in 2019, The Boys has been a superhero allegory about Trump, dangerous authoritarianism, political fanaticism, Nazis, and America's sway toward fascism.

  • In season two, an honest-to-God Nazi named Stormfront (which is literally the name of a Neo-Nazi internet forum) emerged on the scene and became Home lander's ally and love interest.

  • e? The Boys has been making fun of Trumpers the whole time?!
  •
  •   https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-27620071 Target Audience for Mortal Kombat it talks about things that happen in the world and how it changed gaming.

  • The product is a Game franchise that is violent, and it appeals to a worldwide Audience. The original adverts featured young players; they were a part of the target audience.

  • The creative choices on Mortal Kombat, In the beginning of creating the very first game they added characters that everyone enjoyed using and having a storyline with. With the new addition of the games the developers or designers they realised that everyone loved the backstory of the characters. To grab the audience's attention and take the interest back into the fans .

  • The colours of the original Games were quite dull but also in some parts they are bright nowadays the game is more developed with better graphics and better maps to fight on with the game not being so much on the storyline it's adventured away from that by become online games by playing another player online.

    • he dialogue of Mortal Kombat in the intros of the characters into the game itself is funny and a little savage for some characters. They're very snappy and quick to get into the game.

    • The appeal of the target audience it would make sense to the people . This is because in the article that I found it would suggest the dark and dull colours would relate to the problems in it. With the jokes of the intros . it would fit the target audience very negative and not nice. But then the newer games the game is bright and cheerful.

      • In my opinion Mortal Kombat in the dialogue clips that I watched of the intros they were funny but also a bit savage also short and snappy it. It creates an attention of what will happen next in the game making you want to find out more and keep on playing the game. Most articles that I read when Mortal Kombat got first it was made out to be the most violent game in a while and quite a few events happened then.

Script Writing For Game Idea The Boys mortal Kombat

  • Age Range 17-25 for the Game

  • Gaming

  • The Boys mortal Kombat

  •  Overview of Game /Characters

    • There are 14 Characters in total that could be potentially used in the game. 7 on each side fighting against each other but with twist there's going to be a story through it and different levels

    • In 2 Weeks, I expect to complete the 2 Main character's designs.

    • The main Characters

    • Home lander is one of the main protagonist of the Superhero who's psychopathic but also an extremely powerful leader.

    • Starlight is a member of the seven a group of Superhero's. She has the ability of fighting and light manipulation.

    • Billy "Butcher" He started in the comic series and then in the series he is Homelander archenemy. Who he blames of his wife Rape and Death.

    • Hughie Campbell . He was the main protagonist in the comic series. He is one of the members led by Billy "Butcher", after his girlfriend died, he joined the superhero's.

    •  Main Characters Superpowers

      • Hughie Campbell his Superpowers he can teleport.

      • A-Train His Superpower is he has incredible super speed. Faster than a speeding bullet.

      • Starlight She can absorb and recharge energy. When she uses her Superpowers her eyes glow. Also, she can harness light making it enough to be able to blind people. It can also do some physical damage potentially.

      • Billy "Butcher" He has laser vision. The colour of the laser is orange instead of the normal red. He also has increased strength and durability .

    • The Location I will use is a street in New York with bright lights creating the Arena as each character will fight one another. I will create this in Unity using assets but also doing them myself. I'm basing it off the Mortal Kombat Game but just with one Arena/Street which I think will be a good setting .

    •     Licences
    • Currently the Licences I need is Unity to create my game also my characters I will use unity assets if available. I have permission to use Unity I will also be adding music into my game like an eerie but upbeat type of music which I will find on YouTube and export it onto a site that I will have permissions from. I will reference the music and the site I use so that it's clear where I got it from.

    • Focus Group

    • Age Range of 17–25-Year-old , the average age is 19 in the class.

    • The Focus Group is mostly Male.

    • The Focus Group interests are Gaming, Films, Music. The game I choose to do was The Boys Mortal Kombat this is cause in the Focus Group , there was a few people who said they liked watching the Boys. I thought to make characters on the Boys because it's a mostly Male Focus Group and Mortal Kombat is a fighting Game.

    • The Characters used is for an Arcade style Game cause in the Boys there is quite a lot of fighting in the series so linking back to the Focus Group I decided to do Mortal Kombat and the Boys combined.

    •

    • In The Boys series there is a lot of comedy, and the Focus Group liked the comedy genre in Tv shows and films.

    • Mortal Kombat there was a film in 2021 and the budget for the whole film making was $55 Million ,it made $84 Million in the box office also.

    • Evaluation

    •

    • My topic was Mortal Kombat &The boys , this was because in the focus group there was people that liked The boys also the comedy genre so I thought I would combine the 2 together. The topic I choose I think it is somewhat good, this Is because you can link the two together with both fighting but also comedy .

    • I also set the location for the actual game and where it was going "); border-bottom: 1px solid transparent; background-size: 5px; vertical-align: 3.03143px; line-height: 0px; position: relative; text-decoration: none;">t be based . It was set in New York , America in a subway style fight game. Bright colours , good lighting. I completed my risk assessment also , saying the health and safety also what could happen within certain risks.

    • I added the custom controls on which button layout syncs with which power up etc. It doesn't matter if you was on Xbox or "); border-bottom: 1px solid transparent; background-size: 5px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; font-size: 26pt; font-family: Aptos, Aptos_EmbeddedFont, Aptos_MSFontService, Sans-Serif; letter-spacing: 0px; font-kerning: normal; line-height: 32px; vertical-align: -3.03143px;">ps It's the same.

    • Mortal Kombat is an arcade style fighting game which is what I wanted to base my Game idea off. It also links within the focus group because, there's a film and there are funny scenes within the film also the script. The Focus Group liked Films so I thought I would combine the two together. I've done the reflection, saying what went well and what could improve. On the other hand, I said what went wrong at the same time and how I could fix the issues at hand.

    • I started creating the map for the game, I got quite far into developing , designing how it would look or hope for It "); border-bottom: 1px solid transparent; background-size: 5px; vertical-align: 3.03143px; line-height: 0px; position: relative; text-decoration: none;">too look for. Unfortunately, I never got to complete the design or look as I saved my work but now can't find it anywhere on unity, so I've lost the main part of this Unit 9 Project.

Unit 9 Reflection Journal

I started my Mood Board adding images for the 4 Main Characters. I've also added character profiles and the overview of the story of the game and how it will develop. I'm currently finishing my risk assessment and I will add that into my PowerPoint once I've finished it .

  26/09/2024

Carried on with premier pro editing our shot types and adding music also sound effects . Also today we have added something called masking and added text onto the shot type. I finished editing the shot types I have exported the file and sent it to one of our teacher Dan. The video is about 20 Seconds Long.

2/10/2024 I've took some pictures of locations to help me think of an idea in which to use as the main part of my unity project which is Mortal Kombat The Boys. I've also added the custom controls on which buttons u would use to perform certain moves their Superpowers also just the buttons in general. Tomorrow I will talk about which combinations would be more effective to use. This week once I've thought of the idea I will start developing on Unity.

4/10/2024 I've thought of the Location that I will add into my Game. I've said how I will implement by using Unity but also getting Free assets from the Unity Store but also creating the characters myself. It will be a good idea as it's based off Mortal Kombat Game but also The Boys. The idea is it will be a street setting in New York with bright lights , and the characters would fight one another with a New York theme as the background or the best I can create.

9/10/2024 I've started looking at dialogue for my script from the The boys series and also Mortal Kombat game which Home lander is in it. I've been thinking of what ideas I can add into my script. Also looking at the cinematics for the game and how they will work.

11/10/2024 Today I've done The Licences and was saying what permissions I need to use which are Unity getting free assets from the store also getting music from YouTube for example . I will also reference what I have used so that I'm not copyrighting. I've been looking at 2d Model designs for my 4 main characters Aswell and how I'm going to produce them and I'm going to be making a street/Road as part of the Game.

18/10/2024 Yesterday in Che's lesson I learned how to use a black magic camera. I wasn't sure how to operate the camera at first but Lewis showed me how to use it. I felt more comfortable using the camera when I got shown how to use it. I found it easy when shooting with the black magic I really enjoyed using the equipment .We shot a few takes of Harry's production of some low angle filming and normal takes. I ended up being a director of the shoot that Harry and Tommy wanted producing. In Dan's lesson we ended up doing Cultural Aspect for our Game. I went on google to research The Boys Offensiveness and there was quite a few articles about The Boys and how fans were going away from the show because they didn't like what was said or going on in the world.

23/10/24 I won't be in Class from the Wednesday to The Friday as I'm away on holiday and next week the project will be due in and I won't have finished my project so I'm hoping to have an extension to finish it. I will have the Storyboard and everything finished it. Once I'm back from my holiday I will have finished the design of the characters and develop the characters.

4/10/24 I finished doing my project in Unity adding every part that I needed. There was a few problems that I faced whilst doing the Unity project one was every time I tried adding a tree for example it went purple. I went onto YouTube and figured the problem. I finish the project for the game or the start but it didn't save and the version I used wasn't on the computer I used during the week so I couldn't finish it.

Also jokes that the Tweens would understand and that it wouldn't go over their heads making it difficult to say an answer. It's very typical young jokes like one is talking about Minecraft which is 8–12-Year-old and almost everyone knows Minecraft.

    • My Treatment is fully completed so I've ticked that off. The Treatment is in my Research Folder which is a part of Unit 10 Project. I will put it in the Assessment folder as an apart of it.

    • Unique Selling Point (USP)

      • My reason for why I chose to do this game project is because , most people growing up would have watch the show. 8-12 Years old can relate to it. My game is different because you can choose either Phineas or Ferb and there's different missions of the adventure that they end up on. Also, you can be Perry the platypus , the game takes 10 hours to complete and there's a final villain in the final Mission in which you can become all 3 characters at once. There's funny one-line jokes dropped in the different scene's that children relate too.

Unit 10 Reflection Journal

15/11/2024 Unit 10 Project.

The project is a tween Comedy video or producing a game. I have started my prep ideas in which I have in fact thought of an idea and now thinking of how to produce the main part. We have started off with the research part of the project about a Mind Map and putting down your ideas on it. Then a mood board with your ideas showing pictures. My idea is an 9-12 Comedy Phineas and Ferb for Tweens. Then I gave examples of what Tweens could watch when they are younger. I have given a few links as well showing about Teen Humor and video Games about showing what the Tweens Humor is .

20/11/2024 Today what I've done is added to my Mind Map explaining in more detail. Phineas and Ferb is an Action , Adventure , Comedy Tween tv show. . Also with the links I've used what I have done is put jokes on the slide showing what the jokes are like for a Tween audience. I've explained why the jokes would be suitable for them. Another thing I've manged to complete today is I compared Tween Jokes to Teen Jokes to show how different the two sides are and the language is different. I've also started my treatment but there's a few problems as I can't think of a title or the story. But next lesson I would have thought of them so it will be resolved.

29/11/2024 In the first lesson today we had Shannon and we learnt how to reference our work properly. This was a good thing to learn as in our next assignment as we will need to use it. Today was just learning what to do and how to do it as Shannon will mark it properly on how well we use referencing. There was a few cons thought this was because in some of the references you needed an author but I fixed that problem but just deleting the name and the link still worked. A few pro's it was quick and easy to use once I understood how to do it. There are two different types of Referencing (Primary , Secondary). The types are In-Text citation is 1 type where it's a short sentence. The 2 type is a Long Reference.

6/12/2024 In today's lessons what I've done is I forgot to describe what the main characters were like also what their strengths and weakness were. I managed to complete that problem and also corrected the solution. The reason why I've done this is so that the audience understand what they are like in my game video pitch idea. This is in my Template under Character Breakdowns. I've also started working on my pitch Video idea and getting the ideas , pictures, also voiceover. Then once that is done and edited together I will do the script, for the tween comedy pitch video.

  13/12/2024

In today's lessons I've pitched my video almost just got too add one more clip. I have learnt how to blend things in the background to make it look better and less dull. I think it's a good tool to use for future projects as well it was difficult to use at first but now I know how to. I've also started to my script so will be doing that then finishing it. I will be adding a voice Ai to speak though the story creating the atmosphere and story in the background also saying why it fits the comedy genre for tweens . I will be adding comedy into the script as well.

9/12/2024 I've finished everything , I finished the pitch video yesterday and added my AI voice for my script. I also finished the script and edited the video together just going to look over everything and make sure I've completed all of criteria. Tween Comedy is an age range of 8-12 years old. Some of the films you could watch as a tween are like Home Alone, elf, Shrek, finding nemo, Toy story . Examples of some shows are Phineas and Ferb , Ben 10 etc.

Unit 12

The History of Video Editing

By Roman Baines

Introduction

Video editing is a process of organizing and enhancing multiple shots or clips to produce a new output. Editing is a part of the post-production process, where you use different elements and effects to create an appealing final product. A typical video editing process involves, adding or removing clips. You can also check the quality of the clips and see if your happy and checking the quality of the sound if it's working making sure everything lines up. Video editing was first introduced with the use of linear video editing, which was performed before digital software. Followed by video editing software on non-linear editing systems (NLE). The first type of editing in the early 1900s was made with scissors, tape, and an editing table.

The first video editing machine was the Moviola, invented in 1924. It allowed editors to make edits while simultaneously viewing their film. In 1963, Ampex introduced the Editec, the first commercial electronic videotape editor3. In 1985, Quantel released The Harry, the first all-digital video editing and effect composition system45. The Harry could record and apply effects to a maximum of 80 seconds of 8-bit uncompressed digital video, Future of video editing.

In today's digital age, new technologies are opening the door to exciting opportunities. One such technology is virtual reality (VR), which rapidly evolves as an editing tool. Using headsets, users can be transported to a completely different environment. As such, VR opens endless possibilities for storytelling and the editing process is much more immersive.

AI editing is also leaving an impact, as it's possible to analyse large amounts of data and collect information about the preferences of viewers more quickly. This leads to the ability to personalize and streamline editing according to specific needs.

Real-time editing is also on the rise it allows for changing video, audio, and other media elements instantly, without the need for pre-rendering or processing. With it, editors can see the results of their actions immediately, making the process much faster, more intuitive, and more efficient Of course, this requires using powerful devices in return.

The first ever movie edit

Louis Aimé Augustin Le Prince as the director of Roundhay Garden Scene. This was the first ever film made with a single camera shot, in Leeds October 24th in 1888. The first ever edits were made accidentally, by cameraman stopping and starting early hand-cranked film cameras. Gradually it was realised that these "cuts" could be used to join shots together to tell a story, and the movies were born.

Video Editing History

The Analog Era: Splicing and Cutting Film by Hand:

In the early days of filmmaking, video editing was a laborious and time-consuming process that involved physically cutting and splicing celluloid film by hand. Editors would meticulously trim and rearrange individual frames of film to create seamless transitions between shots, a process that required precision, patience, and a steady hand. While this analog method of editing laid the foundation for modern editing techniques, it was inherently limited by the constraints of physical film and equipment.

The Advent of Linear Editing Systems: It is a Video edit process that is order in a sequence from start to the finish, Linear editing is challenging and destructive also it's hard changing or re doing the clip it wouldn't allow you too.

Digital Video Editing changed the way editing work's because you can use your phone, tablet etc. It used to take hour's just doing a table and scissors. In this time technology has evolved it could take a few minutes editing a clip together on cap cut for example also adobe premiere pro is probably the best editing software to use in my opinion.

The Future of AI it's Pro's and Con's

Algorithms can run up to 24/7 7 days a week when whereas powered on. It doesn't need a break either whereas human's need breaks every day. An hour or 2 a day to reset and not get tired also to function properly.

It can also analyse data a lot quicker and at bigger sets of data quicker compared too human's brain and thinking time.

AI can recognise patterns that we can't as human's, in the specific data, AI can also predict the future in what might happen.

Saves time, also cost efficiency.

Cons of Future AI and Video Editing.

Privacy concerns some things might not be private when people need things private and safe for their own safety for the person involved.

People could end up losing their jobs within the next 5, 10 years due to AI becoming so strong and more efficient than human's. It will affect so many 's people life's that are in this industry due to how AI can read more data, take in more information than Human's.

One of the earliest and most impactful advancements in AI video editing is the development of automated editing tools. These tools leverage machine learning algorithms to perform routine editing tasks, such as cutting, trimming, and organizing footage.

AI technology has improved significantly because it will end up producing the process faster and it will become more efficient and easier as AI will end up editing the videos for you in the future. It could end up being more creative with ideas, captions more engaging exciting content. AI can look at the AI algorithms can automatically analyse and organize footage, reducing the time and effort required for manual sorting and tagging.

Video Editor Thelma Schoonmaker (Case Study)

Thelma Schoonmaker is an American Film Editor born on the 3rd of January 1940. She has had a collaboration with director Martin Scorsese with over five decades of working together. Thelma received many awards for her work including 3 Academy Awards.

The films she edited was the likes of Wolf of Wall Street which came out in 2013. One of the best movies in my opinion. There was many other Films she edited was Silence and The Irishman they were edited twice at the same time by her.

'Raging Bull,' 'The Aviator,' and 'Hugo.' These are all Films that edited also. The first ever film she edited was the Raging Bull which was edited in (1980) in a fast, snappy quick cuts edit style.

She also edited The Departed in (2006), she took out the roughness and got rid of the bumps to make the editing look smooth also playing smooth. Sometimes she kept in the roughness and bumps into the edits to create a sense of realness in the film, and showing what it is like in films.

Modern Technology

In today's digital age, new technologies are opening the door to exciting opportunities. One such technology is virtual reality (VR), which rapidly evolves as an editing tool. Using headsets, users can be transported to a completely different environment. As such, VR opens endless possibilities for storytelling and the editing process is much more immersive.

AI editing is also leaving an impact, as it's possible to analyse large amounts of data and collect information about the preferences of viewers more quickly. This leads to the ability to personalize and streamline editing according to specific needs.

Real time editing is also on the rise it allows for changing video, audio, and other media elements instantly, without the need for pre-rendering or processing with it, editors can see the results of their actions immediately, making the process much faster, more intuitive, and more efficient. Of course, this requires using powerful devices in return.

In the next coming weeks, I will continue to develop my Adobe premiere pro skills by advancing them further by adding more technical skills and learning how to perfect and experiment with different tools or even a different style of editing which I wouldn't normally do. I will need to learn more advance skills this is because then my video editing can become better, also become more interesting.

My own editing style is an interesting but good style I think, this is because I like fast paced editing quick snappy edits. But also, when I do different projects or certain clips, I can slow it down and add different transitions and animations for the specific edits. I've been learning how become faster with editing as I've got more comfortable with the tools. Even thought I've become faster I still slow it down to make my work look good and not rushed. Overlooking the whole edit and correcting if there's any mistakes or I'm not happy with the final product I can change it, and do it till I'm satisfied with the outcome.

My creative choices come from a place where, if I like the film or game or whatever it is I love to put a different twist on it and make it my own by adding transition that are different, music, also different styles of cutting etc.

The demand for higher-resolution content is driving the adoption of 8K video editing, offering unparalleled clarity and detail. But why is this shift happening? The answer lies in viewer expectations and technological advancements. As screens become larger and more advanced, from ultra-HD TVs to high-resolution smartphones, audiences now expect sharper, more detailed visuals. Additionally, industries like filmmaking and advertising are leveraging 8K for its ability to capture even the smallest details, providing an immersive viewing experience.

Advanced Editing Tools: Editing 8K footage requires robust software capable of handling the immense data load. Tools like Adobe Premiere Pro are equipped to manage 8K workflows with features like proxy editing and GPU acceleration to ensure smooth performance.

Hardware Upgrades: Editors need powerful hardware, including high-performance CPUs, GPUs, and ample storage, to manage the increased data requirements of 8K videos.

The rise of 8K represents not just a technological leap but also a response to the evolving demands of modern audiences for top-tier video quality.

Focus on Short-Form Video for Social Media

The popularity of platforms like TikTok and Instagram has led to a surge in short-form video content, influencing editing styles and techniques. These bite-sized videos are designed to grab attention quickly, making them ideal for today's fast-paced online environment. The growing trend of mobile viewing has made vertical video formats more common, requiring editors to adapt their techniques to optimize content for portrait orientation.

Concise Storytelling: Editors are focusing on delivering impactful messages within a limited timeframe, often under a minute.

Vertical Video Formats: The rise of mobile viewing has popularized vertical video formats, requiring editors to adapt their techniques to optimize content for portrait orientation.

Short-form video content is dominating social media, shaping the way creators approach storytelling and editing. Its fast-paced, engaging format aligns perfectly with modern viewing habits, especially on mobile devices. As platforms evolve and trends shift, mastering short-form video will remain crucial for capturing and retaining audience attention in the digital age.

AI can create voiceovers or dub a video with realistic voices that mimic, among other factors: the speech and communication style of the original speaker, or AI can create new voices for a video. It is helpful for localization, language translation or even making a voice-over.

Some instances can be best appreciated through slow-motion effects, and this is something that AI can easily identify. It can also make easy the passing from one speed to another one, which means that the process of elaboration of slow motion or even fast motion sequences becomes faster. AI can interpret spoken languages to produce captions and subtitles for videos in any of the world's languages. This can be done with a great level of accuracy which will save the editors the time that they must spend typing out all that has been said in a particular video clip.

Conclusion

Emotional Engagement: Stories evoke emotions, which help make marketing messages more relatable and memorable. For example, instead of simply showcasing a product, brands can use customer testimonials or behind-the-scenes footage to share a journey or experience that connects with viewers.

Data-Driven Storytelling: Analytics tools like Google Analytics enable brands to understand their audience better, tailoring stories to match viewer interests and demographics for maximum impact.

Interactive Story Elements: Some brands are integrating clickable elements in their videos, allowing viewers to influence the story direction, making the experience more engaging.

  • Interactive Videos: Interactive tools enable viewers to make choices within a video, creating a unique path or ending for everyone. This technique is widely used in educational and e-commerce content.

  • Targeted Messaging: Personalized videos for email campaigns or landing pages can significantly improve engagement rates, as they speak directly to the viewer's needs.

(www.youtube.com, n.d.) This a video of how people edited back in 1977 it's very different compared to nowadays. Here are a few different references that I've found online and video editing that would be interesting for people to look at and see what I've found out so far.

24/01/2025

I've found out an editor back in the 1980's she is called Thelma Schoonmaker she was an editor for Martin Scorsese who was a director and he did a collaboration with Thelma Schoonmaker. She edited two films in one day which were Silence and The Irishman. There was many more films she edited such as wolf on wall street. She had many different style's such as fast paced, slow also transitions . I will compare Thelma to how people edit in 2025 and show how different it is compared to back then. Different software's different style's etc.
